The Norman Laud Association provides a range of day and respite care services for children and adults with special needs.
Nursery
We provide a nursery service for children from birth to 5 years. It offers a stimulating environment where the children are encouraged to develop their everyday social skills.
Before and After School Club
This service operates from 8am-6pm term time for school aged children with special needs.
Short Stay Respite Care Home
Our 12 bedded respite care home provides short term care for children with a wide variety of disabilities including Down’s Syndrome, Autism, Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy. The children are aged up to 18 years.
Emscote House
We also provide respite care for adults from the age of 18 years. Emscote House is a purpose built unit which has spaces for 8 guests at any one time.
Quality of Life
We deliver the best possible care, we promote equal opportunities and respect and support the rights of our guests and staff.
Our equal opportunities policy ensures that people are not judged by the colour of their skin, their gender, their age, their type of disability, their beliefs, their background, whether they have a job or not, or by a criminal record that does not affect the Association.
The rights and needs of its service users are respected and maintained at all times.
Complaints Procedure
We operate an easily accessible complaints system for guests, parents, carers, staff and anyone else who wants to use it. This means that any issues or problems can be dealt with quickly and as fairly as possible. Everyone is entitled to support and representation from anyone of their choice at any stage of the process.
Mission Statement
We aim to provide quality respite care for children and young adults with special needs and family support services.
