Emscote House - Respite Care for Young Adults

Emscote House provides a diverse range of short break services for adults aged 18 and
over with profound learning difficulties and/or complex physical and health care needs.
The services are centred on enabling people to make choices about lifestyle and placing
value on each person’s right to independence, privacy, dignity and equality.
At Emscote House we take into account each guest’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural

Facilities at Emscote House

Emscote House provides all the specialist facilities needed for delivering the level of individual care required by guests with both learning and physical disabilities.
It has:

Eight single bedrooms all with wash hand basins
Two soft padded bedrooms
Two lounges one with a dedicated sensory area
Two dining rooms
Bathrooms feature both standard and specialist equipment
Largest bathroom has hydrotherapy bath with ceiling track hoists and specialist shower trolley
A large conservatory for music, games and computer play
Large rear garden for picnics and ball games, full sized trampoline and specially adapted swings
Meeting room for parents, professionals and staff training

Trips and Outings

Guests are taken out regularly and benefit from Emscote House’s excellent relationships with local community groups. The Norman Laud Association minibus also enables guests to choose to go on trips to such places as:
